A reminder that the next screening for the Eaglehawk Neck Hall Film Society will be Clint Eastwood’s adaptation of the hit Broadway musical Jersey Boys (M-rated, 134 minutes) about the life and careers of Franki Vallie and the Four Seasons. The usual hot food will be served from 6.00pm. Upcoming films for February are Calvary (Sat 14th) and Kenneth Brannagh’s Henry V (Thu 12th), although I am having difficulty locating who now has the films rights to Henry, so it may have to be a home screening if no-one owns up to having them.
Finally, the Eaglehawk Neck Hall will be hosting a workshop and concert by The Spooky Men’s Chorale on Tuesday 13th January (4.00 – 6.00pm for the workshop and 7.30pm for the concert). They were a big hit at the Festival of Voices this year when they performed down at Port Arthur – suggest you Google them on Youtube. The Hall may also be looking for people who are coming to the concert and who may like to billet a Spooky Man (and maybe partner) for one or two nights (Mon 12th and/or Tue 13th). So if you have a spare bed and don’t mind having a temporary haunting, let me know if you can help.
