Market and Film this Saturday 12th November

The market at Eaglehawk Neck Hall kicks off at 9.30am- we’ll have food, drinks, craft, books, homeade goodies, plants and porcelain dolls this week.

The film this month is Last Cab to Darwin, starring Michael Caton. It starts at 7.0pm on the Saturday- join us for a shared dinner at 6.0pm. The following Thursday we are screening The Danish Girl at 7.30pm.

Films this week at the Hall

  1. Thursday 6 October at 7.30pm – The Taming of the Shrew (G 117 minutes) – Franco Zeffirelli directs Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton in this 1967 version of Shakespeare’s tale of male chauvinism and womens’ lib in 16th Century Padua. A rollicking good comedy .

Saoirse Ronan (The Way Back) stars as a young Irish immigrant in 1950s New York who must decide whether her future lies in her new homeland or whether she must return to Ireland. Also stars Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent and Domhnall Gleeson.

New defibrillator purchased for Hall

The Eaglehawk Neck Community and Hall Association wish to thank the local community for the money raised at this year’s Fair which has enabled the Committee to purchase a defibrillator for use at Hall events.

Film Society AGM next month- before film screening

The Eaglehawk Neck Hall Film Society screens films every month.  Coming up on Saturday 13th August at 7.00pm Fame (M 128 minutes) – Original 1980 movie musical directed by Alan Parker about a group of young talented people from differing backgrounds who audition for the prestigious New York City High School for the Performing Arts, and follows them on their way to graduation.  Hot food and snacks are available from 6.00pm. The Film Society AGM will be at 4.00pm prior to the film- all welcome. For more info contact Dave on 6250 3949
